There is another new innovation for our gadgets. Generally, there is a warning 'your gadget is not waterproof'. However, Bon Seop Ku from South Korea made a new concept for Samsung mobile phones.

The concept is inspired when Bon Seop drawing idly on the table with water. It creates Samsung Aqua Concept. A transparent cell phone casing combined with a GUI (graphical user interface) which makes it look like water in AMOLED displays.

The great point is to remove the icons; you can simply remove them by rubbing the display. Pretty cool, right? Unfortunately, the concept of this phone makes this phone can only perform the basic functions. such as messages and call only.

The form and the function are not much different from the same common pin, but Playbutton can play your favorite songs. Just like iPod Shuffle, you can not arrange the songs, but Playbutton also have the play, pause, skip and volume buttons.

Sony PlayStation Phone (PSP Phone), Android Phone for Gaming?

Apparently, Sony admits that there is a development of the PlayStation phone. According to the plan, the PSP phone will use a Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and the 4 inches screen size (not 100% sure). This product will be marketed in the Christmas in 2011 that seems to use the Android version 3.0 (Gingerbread) and reportedly can run the game for the PSX and PSP original.

There is also an info that Sony Ericsson will provide a special kind of app store to buy a game that could run on this device.

The good point is that the design of this device is comfortable to play the game because there are buttons provided exclusively for gaming.

It seems that Sony Playstation Phone platform will use the name of the z-system in which the domain is already owned by Sony Ericsson.

AMD APU Llano Fusion has Speed 30 Gigaflops for the Combination with Main CPU

AMD in the event of in-house Technical Forum yesterday show the example of first Fusion processor that is included into a type of APU (which stands for Accelerated Processing Unit - a combination of GPU and CPU) called AMD Fusion Llano. The current roadmap of AMD schedules the first Llano processors will soon be marketed in the first half year of 2011 and it can make AMD Llano will be the direct competitor for Sandy Bridge the Intel architecture where the graphic will be embedded in the main chip.  

Hummingbird Robot Bird can Flutter His Wings Until 30 Times per Second

Japanese researchers have developed a robotic bird that can move freely in the air with rapid wing movement. This robot bird has a size similar to a real bird Hummingbird, equipped with micro motors and four wings that can fluttered until 30 times per second, said Hiroshi Liu, a researcher at the University of Chiba east of Tokyo.

This unique robot has a weight of 2.6 gram and it can fly 8 times more stable than a helicopter with propeller. This bird robot is controlled by infrared sensors and can move up, down, right or left.
Hiroshi Liu has strategy to make the hummingbird robot flied in the air and featured it with a micro camera in March 2011.

 

The development of this robot cost to 200 million yen or $2.1 million. This hummingbird robot can be used to help in rescuing people who are trapped in the damaged building, searching for criminals, or even operating as a vehicle probe in Mars.

Google TV from Sony – New Innovation Way of True Entertainment

SAN FRANCISCO - Starting Saturday (10/16/2010), Sony will begin selling a new LCD television that is featured with Google TV service to access video services and web-based broadcast. LCD television that is ranging from 24 until 46 inches is showed in New York,  USA, on Tuesday (10/12/2010).

As we know, television that is combined with Internet service is not new. However, this LCD television from Sony is special because it is combined with Google's special services that are designed to bring the Internet in the living room just like TV broadcast.

Google TV has been equipped with CPU (central processing unit) with an Intel Atom processor and work with the Android operating system. To access the website, there is Google Chrome as a web browser. The other softwares are designed to access television programs on the internet, broadcast schedule, even the content of satellite broadcasts.

"Finally, you can easily find your favorite television program and website on the same screen, and at the same time," said Mike Abary, a senior vice president of home division of Sony Corp.

Nokia E-Cu can Recharge through Your Pocket Pants

Nokia, recently demonstrated a concept phone that is so unique, revolutionary and environmentally friendly. The mobile phone concept that is called E-Cu is able to convert the body heat into energy. To make your mobile phone recharging, it can be done simply by entering the mobile phone into your pockets.

This great concept is designed by Patrick Hyland, a resident of London, England. The concept is named E-Cu because the E letter is referring to environment and Cu for Cuprum (copper), which is installed as casing material.

As it is known, mobile phone charger annually produces 51,000 tons of waste, not to mention the greenhouse effects. As a result, this new concept that is introduced by Nokia will reduce the waste generated by cell phone charger. The phone will not have completed with the charger in the sales package. Thus, hopefully this phone can bring good effect for the environmental sustainability.

New Features on Facebook Enhance the Intimacy

Facebook announced the new features on its social networking service, on Wednesday (10/06/2010). One of the new features is the improvement of the Group feature designed to improve user communication and intimacy of his friends or family.

This feature allows the users categorize the list of friends in small groups so they can interact more intensively in groups. According to management up, this new feature of the group will help the users to search for a different group of friends so that they can share certain information to the chosen people.

"This is a product. But it also represents a very fundamental build for social networks in the future," said CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerburg.

This feature is also implemented in the Facebook chat so that fellow users can communicate directly together in a chatroom. Users also can ask for all communications in Group sent to its e-mail so that it remains to know the information just like in a mailing list. In fact, it even can be set so that all e-mails that are sent will appear in the page group.

This Month is the Debut of Google TV

Google Inc. will officially launch the debut of its TV service this month. In a new article on the official blog that was released yesterday, the TV service will include some content from HBO, Time Warner, NBC, General Electric Co., Netflix Inc., and Twitter Inc.

Google that announced this plans since last May will also feature a number of other channels, like TBS, TNT, CNN, and National Basketball Association. In addition, Dish Network Corp are also reportedly planning to launch its service.

"This is just the beginning. Within the next few weeks, you will hear a number of other sites will also feature its web content to Google television," said official of Google in his blog.

For your information, this expansion of Google is related to the plans of increasing the market capitalization along with the high demand of the content that combines the Internet feature with the television. A Movie about the Founders of Facebook becomes Top Box Office

The movie that is titled "Social Network" is written by West Wing, and it is produced by Aoron Sorkin, and acted as director David Fincher. The movie is starring Justin Timberlake and emerging artists Jesse Eisenberg.

For your information, this film tells the story of the site was first developed by Mark Zuckerberg and his best friend at Harvard University. Then there is a conflict which tells how Zuckerberg got accusations from other student at Harvard who said he stole his idea.

LG Postpone the Tablet Computer

LG Electronics delays the launch of a tablet computer that would become a competitor of iPad that made by Apple Inc. until next year. The third largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world will focus on producing a smart phone to compete the iPhone. In fact, in July, LG said that they plan to produce a tablet computer in the first quarter of this year.

The plan is LG will release phones with Android system. A source said that the South Korean electronics giant will introduce the product at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January. "LG still move slightly with the mobile phone software. While the hardware is complete," the source said.

Nokia Will Immediately Deliver Nokia N8 Soon

Skyfire and Opera Mini are Tested to be Reliable Browsers for Android

There are some steps for testing those six Android browsers, with some aspects, such as, testing speed, navigation, and overall performance.  Android browser is tested by two methods. They are 'the Internet live loading pages' and the method of 'saved or cached pages'.

In the first method (live loading pages), it turns out that the winner is Skyfire 2.0 browser. This browser can open 'new' web pages, that have never been accessed before, with the fastest time of 8 seconds. However, for the second method (saved or cached pages), it is found that Opera Mini is a champion, with a record time of just 6.1 seconds to load the pages.
